CORA Services is a not for profit agency located in Northeast Philadelphia.  CORA's mission is to assist youth, children and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges which impede their development and productivity.  CORA is looking for a mission driven Facilitator to collaborate with the Work Ready Coordinator in order to develop and implement all aspects of the Work Ready program for young people between the ages of 14 18 years as they participate in their introduction to the world of work. 

Summary of Job: 

The Site Director,  is responsible for the general management of the program including program planning, staff supervision, coordinating and planning daily activities with the assistant group supervisors, and overall site management.

Position hours: Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00 pm

Salary: $37,000

Responsibilities
  1. Engage students, families and other stakeholders to meet or exceed enrollment and retention goals for program.
  2. Maintain the site in accordance with DHS regulations.
  3. With staff input, create monthly activity plans and project-based learning plans that are engaging, challenging and leveled for different age groups within the program.
  4. Ensure the safety of the attending students through the initiation and accurate documentation of regular safety drills including fire and shelter-in-place drills; maintain and distribute children's medications as appropriate. Ensure that student allergies are documented and discretely posted for all staff.
  5. Coordinate all day-to-day activities of the after school program.
  6. Collect documentation for child's records.
  7. Monitor and maintain files on all children in the program.
  8. Collect and accurately document fee income.
  9. Enter student attendance data into PCAPS system, verifying accuracy of student and parent sign-in information.
  10. Supervise group leaders and other site staff, including annual performance appraisals and entry/approval of bi-weekly time sheet submissions through the online payroll system.
  11. Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with school administration, parents and families and other stakeholders to ensure program visibility and community support.
  12. Serve as contact for school program and liaison with school as needed.
  13. Participate in at least 12 hours annually of professional training
  14. Serve on various committees and /or teams as requested.
  15. Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Out of School Time (OST) Supervisor, as needed
Requirements
  1. Associates' degree with 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field; or
  2. Associates' degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field; or
  3. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university including 30 credit hours in ECE, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field

Experience

  • Associates degree with 30 credits in stated fields: minimum of 3 years' experience working with children
  • Associates degree in stated field: minimum of 2 years' experience working with children
  • Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in stated fields: minimum of 1 year experience working with children
