CORA Services is a non-profit agency located in Northeast Philadelphia. CORA's mission is to assist youth, children, and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges which impede their development and productivity.  CORA provides this assistance throughout the greater Philadelphia area.

We are currently searching for a Full Time (40 hours/week) Maintenance Technician/Housekeeper for our busy Facilities department.  The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sweep, vacuum and mop floors and dust furniture throughout the building.
  • Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants and resupply paper products.
  • Empty trash throughout the agency.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Set up rooms for meetings per instructions.
  • Deliver packages throughout the building.
  • Identify and report possible repairs, assisting with repairs as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal work outside building as needed (ex. Landscaping, lawn care, snow removal and salting).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualified applicants should possess the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Experience cleaning in a commercial environment a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members, clients, visitors and personnel from other agencies and related centers.

 

Hours9AM 5PM or 10AM to 6PM standard; flexibility needed to come in early or stay later for special projects such as snow removal.

Pay rate:  starting at $12.25/hour
