In January of 2020, CORA Services opened its 3rd and largest Early Childhood Education Center, Early Years Huntingdon Mills!


Do you love working with children and care about nutrition? Have experience in the class room and in the cafeteria?

CORA is currently seeking Early Childhood Food Program Coordinator for its Early Years program. Vacancy due to staff relocation, current staff member will be here to train new hire! located in the Olde Richmond section of Philadelphia at the beautifully-renovated, Keystone Stars rated, Huntingdon Mills site (2137 E. Huntingdon Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125).

Candidates should have experience working in Early Childhood settings. This position is responsible for working with children ages 2 through 5.

Salary for Early Childhood Food Program Coordinator: $13.40/hour (Salary increases based on additional credentials and experience)


Working as a Early Childhood Food Program Coordinator with CORA, you will:

  • Oversee daily compliance with CACFP approved food program.
  • Submit attendance and POS records to food program by deadlines.
  • Prep, heat, serve all meals and snacks.
  • Complete inventory and ordering for all food and beverage.
  • Instruct teachers on how to properly complete POS.
  • Make sure teachers have access to correct menus, amending menus as needed.
  • Maintain Servsafe certification, and acquire any additional certifications/trainings needed to maintain compliance.
  • Participate in all center-wide training initiatives to maintain compliance with CORA and Keystone Stars.
  • Conduct healthy eating and lifestyle lessons with students (weekly).
  • Fill in classrooms as needed to support teachers with breaks, preps, on field trips and lateness/absence, etc. to maintain ratios.

Qualified Early Childhood Food Program Coordinator Candidates Should Possess:

  • At least 2 years' experience working with children
  • Working knowledge of meal planning, preparation and kitchen operations in an institutional setting; basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary food preparation.
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety, hygiene and sanitary precautions common to the food service trade Servsafe certification a plus!
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
