CORA is in search of a Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) Targeted Clinical Counselorto work with our clients and families receiving services under the IBHS program.

Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) is a program rooted in strong clinically minded care and social justice. Many of our client referrals come through a police diversion program which gives youth ages 10-17 the opportunity to participate in counseling rather than be arrested for minor offenses such as theft, possession, or minor assault. Our IPS Targeted Clinical Counselor completes 2-3 community-based sessions each week with individual clients. In collaboration with a case manager, the IPS counselor provides individual and family counseling to help strengthen families and give them the resources necessary to help youth succeed in school and in the community.



IPS Targeted Clinical Counselor Job Benefits:

IPS Targeted Clinical Counselor Responsibilities:
  • Complete 2-3 home & community-based counseling services weekly for a caseload of 10-12 clients.
  • Provide home-based family therapy to strengthen parenting skills and increase family communication skills and feelings of connection
  • Collaborate with case manager to support families in finding the resources they need to be successful
  • Complete daily notes, service plans, and discharge summaries as necessary
  • Complete a thorough psycho-social assessment for client and family
  • Advocate for client needs in school and court settings
  • Participate in individual and group supervision at agency


IPS Targeted Clinical Counselor Qualifications:
  • Master's level Degree in Social Services Profession
  • Enthusiasm for work with adolescents and strong relationship-building skills
  • Documented experience in treatment or intervention counseling services
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes three to four evenings/week to accommodate after-school group schedules and family schedules
  • Valid Driver's License
