The Senior Manager, Training and Development is responsible for leading the agency's professional development program and related training initiatives. The Senior Manager, Training and Development will collaborate with program and senior leaders to create and maintain a robust Training and Development Program that will meet the requirements of our various funding sources and credentialing bodies, as well as provide opportunities for overall learning and skill development.


· Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which includes valuing all individuals, supporting the individual's potential for growth, and enhancing a pragmatic service system approach.

· Plan, develop, and coordinate high-quality training and development programs; pursue opportunities to expand and strengthen offerings.

· Lead Professional Development Committee as it selects training topics, sets calendar of events, secures trainers, and evaluates professional development program.

· Partner with agency leaders to development and manage key training initiatives including

o Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging training series for staff and board;

o Supervisory Training Program;

o Mission and Culture Orientations for new hires; and

o Mediation and Restorative Justice Trainings led by Good Shepherd Mediation.

· Collaborate with department heads and supervisors to determine scope, topics, and requirements for training and development efforts specific to their areas of work.

· Optimize use of Learning Management System (LMS) as a user-friendly and accessible learning platform for all staff. Leverage LMS to

o Create and execute training plans designed to ensure compliance with contract and/or licensing requirements.

o Manage and track both LMS-delivered and CORA-sponsored trainings, and monitor staff completion.

o Make available an extensive course library for ongoing learning and development.

· Ensure compliance with requirements of professional/credentialing institutions that have approved CORA as a continuing education provider:

o Oversee preparation and submission of initial/renewal credentialing applications.

o Ensure proper professional review of content, training publications, and participant evaluations.

o Serve as liaison with professional/credentialing institutions and partners.

· In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, assess organizational development needs, and create learning roadmaps to support skill development and professional advancement.

· Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training in achieving desired results.

· Manage external resources to offer diverse quality programming and to maximize cost effectiveness.

· Promote training programs to internal and external audiences.

· Coordinate with administrative staff on registration, marketing, material preparation, certificates, credit tracking, event logistics, technical support, and other administrative tasks.

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


· Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources or related discipline


· 3-5 years' of relevant experience in adult learning, training, staff development, etc.

· Passion for learning and development, and knowledge of associated best practices

· Experience utilizing a learning management system strongly preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent organizational and administrative skills

· Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong public speaking and presentation skills

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff at all levels of the agency as well as external partners.
