Adult Psychiatrist


We are currently seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to work in our Clinical Services division. The Adult Psychiatrist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The Psychiatrist conducts thorough psychiatric evaluations, develops treatment plans, prescribes medication, and evaluates treatment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which includes creating an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance, valuing all individuals, and supporting the individual's potential for growth.
  • Comfortable working across various programs including adults presenting with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Some flexibility to provide telehealth for those individuals whom request virtual appointments (in qualifying programs).
  • Collaboration and consultation with treatment team including therapists, program administrators, and administrative assistant
  • Looking for 8-12 hours per week which can increase based on caseload and demand
  • Evaluate patients by interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; and ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
  • Develop treatment plans by determining nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders and establishing treatment goals and methodologies.
  • Treat patients by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions; monitoring effect of medications; and supervising staff provision of services.
  • Collaborate with the Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) team, physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.
  • Adhere to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability, supervision and confidentiality.
  • Participate in all necessary Clinical Services Division functions and meetings.
  • Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
