CORA Services is seeking a Community Case Manager to support the Community Schools team at George Washington High School (19116).
Where You'll Work:
Your main work location will be at our facility during standard business hours throughout the week. We value work-life balance and offer one remote work day to enhance flexibility. However, it is important to note that home visits to clients will be necessary. These visits may occasionally take place during evenings and weekends, requiring some flexibility in your availability on as-needed basis.
What You'll Do:
Located in Northeast Philadelphia, George Washington High School is a Philadelphia public high school selected by the City of Philadelphia for Community School designation and supports. You will work collaboratively with schools, students and families to provide supports to students and families experiencing socioeconomic or health stressors. You will carry a caseload and work to help families increase protective factors, increase family functioning, increase family engagement in school activities and increase student's attitudinal connectivity and relationship to school, which, in turn, will increase student attendance and achievement. You will work primarily from the school, but will also be responsible for conducting regular home visits and supporting families within the community. In addition, the Case Manager will assist the team with the coordination and implementation of monthly family forums.
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- Two or more years of experience in social services, specifically with a focus on serving children and families
- Demonstrated ability in supervision/administration
- Valid driver's license
- Strong familiarity with the community - including its resources, assets and needs
