The out of school time hours between 3:00pm and 6:00pm are the highest risk times for youth. YouthCOR, CORA's Out of School Time programs, is dedicated to impacting the lives of children, youth and families during these critical hours. YouthCOR does this through partnering with the schools and communities to provide access to dynamic programing and new experiences for young people in many neighborhoods around Philadelphia.

CORA Services is seeking a Full Time Manager, OST Programs. The Manager, OST Programs, is responsible for managing the direction and implementation of YouthCOR OST Programs. Working with the Director of OST Programs, the Manager will ensure that all programming is innovative, engaging and enriching for the students served.

  • Act as an ambassador for the YouthCOR program and CORA Services at program sites and within the community.
  • Work with the Director of OST Programs and Site Directors to develop and implement high quality programming within YouthCOR.
  • Drive program innovation, ensuring that all lesson plans and program plans are creative, grade appropriate and meet rigorous academic standards and all sites are equipped with materials needed for high quality programming.
  • Supervise and develop passionate leaders and mentors through direct supervision and coaching as well as through the creation and implementation of professional development workshops.
  • Maintain a regular presence at YouthCOR sites to observe, engage, coach, and support site-based staff while building and maintaining relationships with youth, staff, and school administration.
  • Assess the effectiveness of programmatic activities and make recommendations for modifications.
  • Develop new and innovative partnerships to meet changing needs and interests of students and programs, while maintaining strong relationships with current partners.
  • Ensure full enrollment of programs by developing strong advertising campaigns, while also assisting Site Directors in recruiting and enrolling students.
  • Assist Director of OST Programs with maintaining OCDEL licensing at sites.
  • Utilize knowledge of the grants and funding sources in the OST programs to guide high quality programming at the site level.
  • Ensure that the social-emotional needs of young people are constantly at the forefront of YouthCOR through daily program rituals, social-emotional learning objectives, restorative justice practices and conflict resolution.
  • Oversees any and all data reporting needed for the program.

Qualifications of a Manager, OST Programs:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary or related field; Master's Degree in Education is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an out of school time program at the administrative level
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Knowledge of the principles of early childhood development
  • Knowledge of and experience in lesson planning and curriculum development, teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a broad variety of people
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, problem solve, and follow-through on areas of responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with regard to recording/collecting data
  • Knowledge in the use of data to inform plans for programs and student
