CORA is currently seeking Special Instructors for its Early Intervention program.
Working as a Special Instructor with CORA, you will:
- Provide remedial and consultative services to children within their daytime pre-school setting consistent with professional standards.
- Encourage the child to acquire developmental skills, cognitive and/or social skills based upon pre-set goals listed in the child's Individualized Education Plan.
- Provide corrective action suggestions and support to child's family and preschool setting in regards to Special Instruction goals and routines.
- Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, including but not limited to Individualized Education Plan Review meetings, consultative meetings, parent meetings etc.
- To perform other professional functions as defined by CORA administrative/supervisory staff.
- Establish and maintain an appropriate schedule that accommodates service frequencies for all assigned students.
- Make appropriate referrals for service changes as needed.
- Maintain documentation and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time including, electronic and hard copy billing, progress monitoring, team/parent correspondence, agency mandated paperwork etc.
- Attend staff meetings as needed.
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Education and Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Education with Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate or appropriate licensure.
- Solid working knowledge of the field.
